Clarion Call to Worship

1 Corinthians 13:4-13 ⁴ Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  ⁵ Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;  ⁶ Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;  ⁷ Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.  ⁸  Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.  ⁹ For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.  ¹⁰ But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.  ¹¹ When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.  ¹² For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.  ¹³ And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Ephesians 6:10-19  ¹⁰  Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  ¹¹ Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  ¹² For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.  ¹³ Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.  ¹⁴ Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;  ¹⁵ And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;  ¹⁶ Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.  ¹⁷ And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:  ¹⁸ Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;  ¹⁹ And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,  ²⁰ For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
